In 2010, DutchInspect BV was assigned to supervise a heavy-lift break bulk project in the port of Le Havre / France. The major part of the project was to off-load 36 x 40 mt hatchcovers for cape-size bulk-carriers from the importing vessel onto the quay and te re-load these hatchcovers onto the exporting coaster with destination Danmark. This was a very challenging project as the port of Le Havre had no experience with this type of equipment and little equipment to handle these large and heavy hatch-covers.
