From 2011 until 2014, DutchInspect BV was working in Liberia for Steinbock International for their Liberian Barite Project. Liberia has the world’s best Barite deposits based on quality but mining had never been conducted. Dutchinspect BV was hired to find barite deposits, determine quantity and quality and if proven economically viable, to co-arrange mining and transport to the port of Buchanan. In the port of Buchanan, a processing unit was set up to wash, crush and screen the barite. For all export shipments, DutchInspect BV arranged for port logistics and supervising loading of the vessels. In total, 150.000 mt was mined, processed and exported.
